What is ELEVATOR?

Elevatormag.com is a content submission and publishing platform created and operated by media production company ELEVATOR Media.

How can I submit content?

The ONLY way to submit content is with an elevator account via our submission system.

Submissions are typically reviewed within 72 hours, however, it can take up to 5 business days, so please be patient.

Once your submission has been reviewed, you will be notified via email whether it has been approved or declined. You can also check the status of your submissions in your account dashboard by clicking "my submissions" in the main navigation in your account menu when logged in.

Accepted submissions are typically published within 72 hours after they have been accepted but may take up to 5 days. Users are notified via email with a link to their post when an approved submission has been published.

note

If we really like your submission we may reach out to you about additional editorial features, YouTube uploads, social media posts, or content collaborations.

Why can't I email or message my content?

Email and messages are very hard to track of and respond to. We built our submission system to make sure we are able to collect all the information we need to fully evaluate every content submission and make sure content creators are having their submissions seen.

What type of content can I submit?

You can submit anything for editorial or promotional consideration; music, videos, photosets, podcasts, products or services.

caution

If you are submitting a folder of content please use a publicly accessible Google Drive, Dropbox, or other equivalent file sharing service. If we cannot access your link, your submission will be declined.

Can I submit unreleased content?

Yes. Make sure the link is not private and provide a release date in the details so we know when to post if it is accepted. Use a shareable Google Drive, Dropbox link, or an unlisted YouTube link. If we cannot access your link, your submission will be declined.

Can I submit content for someone else?

Yes. However, make sure you have permission or the authority to submit on behalf of the content creators (like a manager, assistant, pr company or label). Also, make sure to add credits for the content creators in the Give Credit step when submitting.

How can I submit content for ELEVATOR’s YouTube channel?

All Submissions are considered for all editorial and promotion opportunities, that includes YouTube. If we think your submission has potential and is a fit to be posted or premiered on our YouTube, we will reach out to you via social media or email by someone with an @elevatormag.com email address.

Why is there a submission fee?

Listening to thousands of music submissions a month takes a lot of time. We have a dedicated staff of people to make sure we listen to every single submission. Standard submission fees are non-refundable because it helps pay for our staff to listen to them.

What is the difference between submission types?

Standard Submissions

Standard Submissions are considered for all editorial and promotional opportunities on ELEVATOR. That includes articles, social media posts, playlists and YouTube uploads.

Approved submissions will, at minimum, be posted on the website.

Sponsored Articles are original, staff-written, editorial pieces that are funded by the submitter. This can either be an invidiual, sponsor, promoter or label. All Sponsored Articles are labeled “Sponsored” and may optionally display a sponsor name.

Promoted Posts are advertisements in the form of a site post. All Promoted Posts are labeled “Promoted".

What happens if my submission is approved?

Approve submissions have been reviewed and accepted for the selected submission service. When a submission is approved, its status will update to "Approved" and you will receive an email notifying you of the submissions approval.

Approved submissions are typically processed within 72 hours and not more than 7 business days.

What happens if my content is declined?

Declined submissions have been reviewed and declined for the selected submission service. When a submission is declined, its status will update to "Declined" and you will receive an email notifying you the submission has been declined. If your submission was for a paid promotion your payment will be cancelled and the payment hold by your bank will be released in a few days.

tip

A declined submission DOES NOT mean we will never post your content. It simply means that we did not feel that the specific peace of content was something we wanted to post or promote. Do not be discouraged from submitting new content in the future.

Where is my refund?

When you checkout and pay for a submission, the submission system creates a payment authorization on your bank account. However, we do not capture (complete) your payment unless your submission is approved.

When a submission is declined, the system simply cancels the payment authorization. That means you will not see a "refund" transaction on your account. Once a payment authorization is cancelled, your bank will typically release the payment hold on your account within 24-48 hours.

note

Standard Submission fees are captured on payment and are non-refundable.

How are submissions reviewed?

Our submission team takes many aspects into consideration when reviewing a submission. Some of those aspects include creativity, originality, style, quality, branding, visual aesthetic, audience or customer potential and trajectory. We evaluate these aspects by not only viewing your submitted content but also the creator or business's body of work and history.

info

If the view count on an embedded media asset hasn't changed after your submission has been reviewed, that does not mean we did not view your content Each platform tracks views and play counts differently and may not register traffic from users using VPNs or who did not view the content for an extended period of time.

How much for an Article or Interview?

We do not accept direct payment for any editorial coverage. However, you can submit for a Sponsored Article or a Promoted Post.

How much for Promo?

All promo opportunties and prices are available in the submission system. All submissions are subject to approval and do not gaurantee any posting. If Your promotion submission is declined, your payment is automatically cancelled.

ELEVATOR Promo

You can order promotional services from other promoters on our digital promotion store ELEVATOR Promo. All orders are subject to approval by each individual promoter. If Your promotion order is not approved by the promoter, your order will be cancelled.

How do Ad Campaigns work?

Why did you scam me?

ELEVATOR nor any of its staff will ever email or message you about paying for services directly via PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, or any other direct payment service. ALWAYS submit content using our submission system and NEVER pay anyone directly to be posted on ELEVATOR.

How To Report Scammers

What are Content Labels?

ELEVATOR Media works with press, promoters, labels, advertisers, and partners in a number of different ways. We use specific content labels to notify our audience of the editorial origin and relationships with content sponsors, clients or partners that were involved in the creation of a piece of content.

Any and all content published without a content label is independently produced, created, and owned by ELEVATOR Media.

Original & Curated Content

Content labeled “Submitted” has been submitted and accepted through our submission system. This differentiates content intentionally submitted, from content sought out by our editorial staff.

Content labeled “Premiere” has been published for the first time exclusively on elevatormag.com.

Promotional Content

Content labeled “Promoted” is approved, submitted content, produced and paid for by the submitter. Promoted content is essentially a native, in-feed content advertisement.

Content labeled “Sponsored” is original editorial coverage of approved, submitted content that is funded by the submitter, sponsor or advertiser, produced by our editorial department.

Content labeled “Presented by” is original editorially content that is supported by an advertising and produced by our editorial department.

Content labeled “Partnership With” is original content co-produced by our editorial and an advertiser. Advertisers may be involved in the content ideation, production, marketing or product placement.
